One gateway between every thisismyurl app and the AI it uses
Vortops is the AI backend for the themes, plugins, tools and sites Christopher Ross builds. Nothing in that family calls a model provider directly: each app authenticates with Vortops, Vortops routes the call to the provider and logs what happened, and the result comes back. It is the brain behind the tools on thisismyurl.com.
What it does
- Authenticates each client app with its own key, so a theme, a plugin or a calculator can only make the calls it is allowed to make
- Routes the request to the AI provider behind it, currently Cloudflare Workers AI, without the app knowing or caring which one
- Logs every call by app, task and model, so usage across the whole portfolio is visible and governable from one place
What it is not
Vortops is not a public API and not a product you can sign up for. It exists so the tools people already use on thisismyurl.com have one honest, accountable path to AI instead of a dozen separate bindings. If that changes, this page will say so before anything else does.
Where you meet it
Any tool on thisismyurl.com that offers an AI-assisted answer goes through Vortops. The AI-disclosure stance those tools follow applies here too: where a model wrote or shaped something, the tool says so.
