Acceptable use policy

This policy applies to everything done through your account, including the sandbox and any site you connect. It is part of the terms of service.

You may not use Vortops to

  • Break the law, or help someone else break it.
  • Create, request or distribute sexual content involving children, or any content that exploits or endangers children.
  • Create sexual or deceptive images or audio of a real person without their consent, or impersonate a person or organisation to mislead others.
  • Harass, threaten or incite violence against anyone, or generate hateful content aimed at people for who they are.
  • Write malware, run attacks, or gain unauthorised access to systems.
  • Send spam, run scams or phishing, or produce misleading content meant to deceive people at scale.
  • Process other people's personal information without the right to do so.
  • Infringe someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.

You may not abuse the service

  • Get around credit charges, rate limits, spend limits or other controls.
  • Create multiple accounts or sites to claim free credits more than once.
  • Resell, share or publish your keys, or give access to your account to people outside your organisation.
  • Use the service to build or train a competing AI model or service, or to copy the models behind it.
  • Probe the service for weaknesses other than through responsible reporting (see the security page).
  • Place an unreasonable load on the service.

Model terms

Some models have their own usage rules. Where they do, we show them where you choose the model, and they apply to you in addition to this policy.

How we enforce this

We may refuse or block individual requests, limit an account, suspend it, or close it. Where we can, we will warn you first. We may act without notice when there is a risk to people or the service, or a legal duty to act. We may report illegal content to the authorities. If we close an account for abuse, unused free credits are forfeited.
